Pinellas Green Party Officially Denounces Yellow Wristband Policy

December 3, 2016

St. Petersburg, FL – Whereas Pinellas County has more than 10,000 people experiencing some level of homelessness, the local Green Party (Pinellas Greens) finds it objectionable that the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas and the City of St. Petersburg have chosen to add insult to economic injury by forcing people in need to wear yellow wristbands in order to receive services.

We plan to peacefully assemble on the steps of St. Petersburg’s City Hall on Thursday, December 8th at 4:30PM as a gesture of solidarity with our region’s homeless people.

While we do not wish to trivialize the atrocities the Jews endured, this act bears a terrible resemblance to how they were forced to wear the cloth patches bearing the Star of David during the Nazi regime. Please join us in opposition to this fascist development so that the guilty parties can quickly fix their error.

Pinellas Green Party Officially Endorses The “Shut It Down” Anti Dakota Access Pipeline Demonstration

December 3, 2016

St. Petersburg, FL – The Pinellas Greens have long given their support to the Water Protectors at Standing Rock. As an organization that maintains constant vigilance on how we treat the planet and its natural resources, we enthusiastically support the Shut It Down movement spearheaded by Tracy Penokie and call for a permanent ban on construction of pipelines of this nature.

We and other likeminded citizens of St. Pete plan to peacefully show our opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline by assembling at the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and 34th St. (US19) on Monday, December 5th at 3:45PM.

The first of the Ten Key Values of the Green Party is Ecological Wisdom. We do not think it is wise to potentially endanger our vital water supply. We hope this demonstration peacefully reminds our elected officials and neighbors how important it is that we get this right.

The event, scheduled to begin at 4pm at Demens Landing, aims to urge Trump to hire a chief advisor that does not have ties to white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and/or white supremacy.

Event organizers have called for speakers with ties to minority groups including the Jewish and LGBTQ communities. Nonviolence and Respect For Diversity are part of the Green Party’s Ten Key Values. The Pinellas Greens know the so-called alt-right are on the wrong side of history.

These are the WRISTBANDS that St Vincent De Paul in City of St Pete is forcing people to wear in order to get services, ALA Star Of David that happened in Nazi Germany. Further, they are limiting those who receive help only to those who wear this and they must have it all times. Lastly as of December 31st they will longer service single Homeless folks thus putting hundreds on the Street. We at the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign are documenting this and will be seeking legal action as this violates Human Rights and international law. We will be organizing Protest for and with the Homeless Community and supporters. WE ARE ASKING EVERYONE TO WEAR YELLOW WRISTBANDS. WE WILL WRISTBANDS TO HAND OUT! the Refuge/Refuge Ministries holiday season fund drive

Hello Everyone, the Refuge/Refuge Ministries is doing a holiday season fund drive for Families and Individuals suffering from Poverty, Homelessness, and disenfranchisement. Our model or philosophy is based on Solidarity and cooperation alongside and led by the Oppressed classes.
We are not a top down charity. WE ARE TRYING TO RAISE $5000.

We are a Faith based Ministry that reaches out through Spiritual services, direct assistance, activism and advocacy, counseling, referrals, housing and Financial assistance, arts/culture, and a radio program. We have both Domestic and Foreign missions. Currently, we reach out to 68 orphaned girls in Sierra Leone with our partner, under our support and alongside, Abdul Sesay, a Sierra Leone National who supports and runs this outreach. These girls were orphaned by the Ebola Crisis and would otherwise be human trafficked or mistreated by the system. Additionally, we have a worker rights organizer in Porta Prince, Haiti, named David Oxygen, a Haitian National. Additionally, we have a radio show on the WTAN tan talk network called the Revolutionary Road Radio Show currently on the web, youtube, and 5 radio stations.

Lastly, we reach out domestically through our subsidiaries: Hearts for God Worship Outreach in Brooksville, Florida, The Healing Refuge of Middle TN., Robin Harris in Orlando, PPERHC Florida, Richard Peete Homeless Outreach, and CRYS (Coalition for the Reform of Youth Services, running among other things a Youth/Young adult mentor home). You can support us by calling the Refuge at 727 278 1547 or sending tax deductible checks to the Refuge, 3705 58th Ave. North St. Pete., Florida 33714.

WE ARE LOOKING FINANCIAL GIFTS, GIFT CARDS FOR GAS, GROCERIES, AND DEPARTMENT STORES. YOU CAN ALSO DONATE BY PAY PAL: https://www.paypal.me/TheRefugeFL.

FOR SUPPORTING SPECIFIC NEEDS PLEASE CONTACT US. CURRENTLY OUR GREATEST NEEDS ARE FOR OUR FOREIGN MISSIONS AND FOR A FEW FAMILIES DOMESTICALLY FACING EVICTION. PLEASE HELP!!
